True OARians
OAR awarded an Honourary Membership to Mr Jayachandran P. A. during the Open Academic Winter Research Camp 2017-18. We recognise him as a True OARian who is selflessly performing extraordinary research for the betterment of the lonely planet. He has done an extensive study on the endangered plants in Kerala and created a detailed database of them. Unfortunately, his work is not published and remained unknown to the world. OAR will support him to publish his work to the international world of science.

'I am living in Kanmani, Koyilandy. Last 9 months I and 20 students are studying about the sacred grove which is near by our school. Already we found more than 200 species of plants. Some of the plants include IUCN red list. And the interesting thing about the pH value of soil in grove is 5.3. On coming March (2018) there will be a festival in our grove along with an exhibition for the public to make awareness to protect the grove.', Jayachandran said.
